Wakeboarding is a water sport in which a rider is towed behind a motorboat on a wakeboard, a short board with bindings, and performs tricks. The rider is usually towed at speeds of 18–24 mph (30–40 km/h). Wakeboarding is a combination of water skiing, snowboarding, and surfing techniques.
